We wanted a book of Bible stories that wasn't quite a "children's Bible", but needed something brief and preferably with pictures for reading to our toddler each night. If you're looking for a baby book to entertain your infant, this is not it. If you're looking for a book that relays Bible stories accurately, without dumbing them down, to begin to teach your child to sit quietly and hear the Bible, this is what you want. To be brutally honest, the illustrations aren't much to write home about. However, I like that the point of the book isn't pretty pictures, since we read it to our 2 year old each night to gradually teach him to listen and be still. Short Bible stories, accurately told, with NO illustrations of Jesus, is exactly what we needed. Also included are little "talking points" or thoughts to discuss, which we will likely utilize more as our kid gets a little older. Emrev
